Local Black Friday Sale

I will be exhibiting my work at the Arts and Crafts Fair at the Uptown Forum the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving Day. I will be selling my nature photography in the form of large photographic prints in high quality frames. My work includes wildlife and beautiful landscapes from Texas and around the country. I will also feature unique vintage-looking black and white and sepia-tone prints of downtown Greenville and other areas, available unframed or in distinctive gray barnwood frames. Killdeer

I went out looking for wildlife to photograph this Thanksgiving morning. I saw a couple of large birds but was not able to get a shot of either one. When I got back into my neighborhood, I saw two Killdeer standing in an intersection just around the corner from my house and took several photos of them. Here is one of them.

Cardinal In Red Leaves

Crested Caracara

I spotted this Crested Caracara, also known as a Mexican Eagle, in a field in Royse City. The Crested Caracara is a tropical relative of the falcon. It favors deserts and grasslands in Texas. The Dallas area is at the northern end of it's range. Sightings of this bird in Texas are rare, according to the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center.

 

Cardinal

This female Northern Cardinal repeatedly attacked my kitchen window.
