Lincoln Watches Over The Lincoln Highway
A carving of Abraham Lincoln overlooks the Lincoln Highway. The Lincoln Highway was the first automobile road across the United States. Much of the route is now part of Interstate 80. This statue of Lincoln looks over I-80 at a rest stop at Sherman Hill Summit in Wyoming. It is the highest point on I-80, at an elevation of 8640 feet.
